We will investigate the public health significance of any complaint related to a campground.

The campground program is responsible for the design, approval, and licensing of public campgrounds. Michigan’s Public Health Code, 1978 PA 368, as amended (the Act), and the administrative rules adopted pursuant to the Act establish the requirements for building and operating a campground. A license from the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality is required to operate a campground in the State of Michigan.

Michigan’s Food Law, Act 92, P.A. 2000, requires you to submit plans whenever a food service establishment is constructed, remodeled or altered.

A Preliminary Soil (Raw Land) Evaluation is a service that provides a determination as to the suitability of vacant land for an on-site sewage disposal system. A soil evaluation is completed at the site to determine the soil type and water table which could influence the performance of the system.
